Review:
I could not give an in depth review as to exactly what is covered in this Cd, but I can say that it is beautiful. The pace is slower than a Church service as exampled in Vol.1 with Mar Bawai. What I have identified so far is the Lords Prayer, Memorial and the Nicene Creed. For someone like me, very interested in learning Aramaic to a high level, this kind of resource is very useful. If you search the web you can find a translation and transliteration my Mar Eshai Shimon in a PDF, which covers some of these prayers and hymns. Better though would be something that gives you the Aramaic text such as is sold here.
On a second point, as a trained sound engineer sometimes a low standard recording really distracts me from the content, this recording however, as the other one I have bought "selected psalms hymns and prayers", are recorded very well, I was surprised at how well they are recorded and also very happy, as it makes a big difference for me.
